Meet
Aleena

Aleena had long been passionate about mental health advocacy, especially for young adults dealing with anxiety and burnout. She envisioned a simple app that lets users check in with their emotions through voice, movement, or emojis — but had no idea how to design, structure, or validate such a tool.

She had an idea:
MindNest — a mobile app offering daily micro check-ins for mental wellness
The Genifinity Experience
“I had ideas scribbled in notebooks and recorded voice memos. But until Genifinity, they never went anywhere.”
Once she joined Genifinity:
- Aleena used the idea builder to define her concept more clearly.
- Through Teamup, she connected with a first-year UX designer and a recent computer science grad.
- Weekly syncs with her Squad and feedback from Genifinity’s community helped refine her feature list.
- She earned GenCreds by completing the “Problem → Prototype” challenge, which she used to access branding support for her pitch deck.
Where She Is Now
Aleena’s beta version of MindNest is being used by a small group of college students. She’s currently tracking user engagement and applying for campus accelerator programs — with Genifinity as her proving ground.
“It’s not just the tools — it’s the accountability. Genifinity gave me teammates and momentum when I had neither.”
